Welcome To The New Bible Scholar's Forum!

Shlama amkhun (that is "Peace to all of you" in Aramaic language).

Purpose of This Forum

The main purpose of this forum is to be a meeting place for Biblical scholars and Bible enthusiasts to share and discuss about Bible related topics.

Forum Rules

As the new administrator of this web site, I'm not going to tell you the Dos and Dont's of this forum as I assume that all of you who signed up here are either a Bible believing Christian, Tanakh believing Jew, or Torah believing Samaritan, etc. So as long as you conduct yourself according to what is taught and commanded in the Holy Scriptures, you will be doing fine here.

Scholarly and theological debates are allowed but arguments about religions is not allowed at this forum.

If you are looking for arguments (especially arguments about religions, denominations, bashing Christians, bashing Jews, bashing those who are not from your church, etc) , then probably this forum is not meant for you. You could try other forums. But if your purpose is to meet fellow Bible enthusiasts and to share your insights, teach others, learn from one another, encourage and exhort one another daily to build each other up, then this is the right place for you.

What Is A Forum?

According to Cambridge Dictionary, a forum is
Quote:
a place on the Internet where people can leave messages or discuss particular subjects with other people at the same time

According to Oxford Dictionary, a forum is
Quote:
a meeting or medium for an exchange of views

As people from all over the world come together to meet in a forum, there tend to be different of opinions and misunderstanding. This cannot be avoided. Why? Because everyone is unique. No two are alike all the time. This is due to our background and level of understanding or comprehension.

You must always remember that there are certain things that you know better than others, and there are certain things that you don't. So instead of arguing with others, why don't we try to understand the opinions of others?

If your intention is to bring others to the truth, you will speak politely to others instead of insulting, cursing, yelling, and screaming at others. If your intention is just to prove that you are right and others are wrong (for the sake of building up your own ego without any concern for the well being of others), then you will not care for the salvation of others.

If you wanted to go to Israel but you are heading towards Egypt instead of Israel, aren't you glad that a stranger out there is kind enough to tell you that you are heading the wrong way? BUT when it comes to personal opinions, the truth is that not many people love the truth enough to the extend of denying self. Many people (including myself) do not like to be told that they are in the wrong. When we tell others that they are wrong, we usually receive hostility instead of gratefulness in return. If we really love the truth, we should be glad that someone is willing to tell us that we are in the wrong. If we love the truth, we will always be glad to self-examine whether we are in the right path or in the wrong path.

Agree To Disagree / Agree To Differ

He who cannot hear his own opinions opposed, and his assertions contradicted, without being angry, who censures and condemns those who differ from him, shows himself a bigot.

He who attempts to injure another in his reputation, person, of property, who would deprive him of any privilege, or advantage, merely on account of his opinions; is a persecutor.

He who hates another, or treats him with unkindness, because he differs from him in religious matters, manifests a persecuting spirit.

Therefore, I hope that all of us can learn from each other in this forum in friendly and brotherly manner.
